The Bay Church

For the Good of the City

The Bay Church is a church plant in Southie.

We are committed to the peace and prosperity of our city.
Take a look below for more information about who we are.

Kingdom * Gospel * City * Glory

Who We Are

Our Vision is to make Disciples of Jesus Christ that will Advance the Kingdom of God through the Power of the Gospel for the Peace and Prosperity of the City for God’s Glory.

We care deeply for Boston and we hope to be a church who serves the city with the love Jesus. We want to get to know you. Currently we meet on Sunday evenings for Bible study and on Thursday evenings for something we call, Open Table. For more info, location and time follow
the "Notify Me" button below.

What exactly does our Vision mean? We want to show you. We will be hosting a Vision Night to share our passion: to bring a dynamic children’s ministry to Southie.

We want the next generation to have a safe place to hear about the life transforming power of Jesus Christ.

What we Believe

The Bay Church is part of the
Christian & Missionary Alliance

The U.S. Alliance is part of a Christ-centered global movement more than 6 million strong. Our Acts 1:8 family - inspired by Jesus’ love and empowered by His Spirit - is passionate to bring the good news about Him to our neighborhoods and world.

And so...

We’re Christ-Centered

Our Alliance family celebrates Jesus, the image of the invisible God, the Lord of all Creation!

We rely on his spirit

We are convinced it is only by the Holy Spirit’s empowerment that we can fully express Jesus’ love.

We are family

We are part of Christ’s Church, His chosen means to fulfill His purposes on earth.

We love our neighbors

In the United States, our Alliance family extends His love to everyone we meet.

We love our world

We  send and support hundreds of Alliance international workers who care for the sick, befriend the lonely, and introduce spiritually impoverished people to the One who releases us all from the curse of sin and the sting of death.

Scott Lyerly

Sometimes the best way to understand passion is to see it and hear it.

Check out the video of Scott Lyerly as he delivers a sermon for our partner church, Church of Emmanuel. Scott is the pastor of the Bay Church, and he is committed to our City.

Finding significance and purpose comes when we discover the character trait of humility. Recognizing that we are made strong. We have been created with purpose and strength to contribute to human flourishing in the city we live.
